This softening Oil is inspired by the classic masculine aromas of hair tonics, aftershaves and pomades, all mingled with tobacco smoke and the back and forth of honest, work-weary men, unwinding in the haven of their local barbershop — memories of young Sid’s hair-cutting apprenticeship in Brooklyn. Six oils with moisturizing, glide & nourishing properties have been expertly blended with Sid’s elegant scent, bound with Sweet Almond, Jojoba & Vitamin E carrier oils. In truth this is a simply delightful alchemic concoction.

Handmade in small batches by the Captain’s master blender, supplied in a glass bottle with a pump to facilitate accurate dispensing.

How to apply

First wash your face in warm water to soften beard stubble, before massaging a few drops of Oil into the area to be shaved.

The further application of a hot face cloth for 30 seconds or so will accelerate the process, whilst adding a relaxing sense of luxury to your shave. Brush on your preferred Captain Fawcett Shaving Soap lather, and then proceed to shave as normal.
